BEWARE,BEWARE ,and BEWARE. The chase s back on the rockford police are in pursuit.they will now chase you down. until they kill the next innocent victim......

Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies say they will chase after those who break the law.
After months of debate on the topic, law enforcement leaders say the new policy will make our streets safer.
Winnebago County Sheriff Gary Caruana says that more and more people are fleeing from deputies. He adds it’s not uncommon for the county to see six to eight vehicles fleeing from them on any given night. The new pursuit policy gives Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies permission to pursue a chase if the suspect is believed to have committed a felony.
"If they feel there's a need to chase, we're going to. And that's the biggest key difference is that we are hitting that felony rule versus some misdemeanors. Now if they turn on their red lights to pull them over for a violation, it could be a misdemeanor violation, and they take it to the level of aggravated fleeing, good chances are they're going to be chased,” says Winnebago County Sheriff Gary Caruana.
Rockford Police Chief Chet Epperson says his officers only chase a fleeing vehicle if the suspect poses a death risk or bodily harm. They do not plan on changing their policy.
